                      Despite my best efforts and those of the many people who helped me, errors crept into my edition of Swinburne's correspondence. Most, but not all, are minor, but all are irritating. At this site I correct those and take the opportunity to add several afterthoughts. 
                  </p>
                  <p>
                      Especially helpful is an 
                      <xref xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="http://purl.oclc.org/swinburnearchive/html/uclindxb00/">index to Appendix B</xref>
                      (in vol. III, pp. 323-368). That appendix contains new material pertaining to 291 of Swinburne's letters published by Cecil Lang,

                          The Swinburne Letters</title>, 6 vols. (New Haven: Yale University Press, 1959-1962): corrections, locations of holographs, identifications, datings, and the like. The index will make those more easily accessible.
